Genshin Impact has officially confirmed two new characters, Baizhu and Kaveh, for the upcoming version 3.6. The game’s playable roster continues to grow with each new update. Yaoyao and Alhaitham were added as new Dendro users in the first banner cycles for the ongoing version 3.4.

The arrival of the famous Pyro claymore five-star Dehya and a Cryo user from Mondstadt named Mika was confirmed during a recent live stream event for the upcoming Genshin Impact update 3.5. Even though update 3.5 has yet to be released, developer HoYoverse has already confirmed the arrival of two new playable units for 3.6.

The official Twitter account of Genshin Impact has finally confirmed previous rumors that Baizhu and Kaveh will be included in update 3.6.

Baizhu has been one of the most anticipated characters in the community since his first appearance in Liyue’s Archon Quest. One of the main reasons is that he was the only character in the game at the time who had a Dendro Vision. Many players assumed that he would be the first Dendro character to join the playable roster. However, because he is from the Liyue region, and almost every currently playable Dendro user in the game is from Sumeru, HoYoverse delayed his release.

Kaveh, a new Dendro user, is also expected to have a lower four-star rarity. Sumeru’s official plot introduced him as an eccentric character whose actions are always guided by emotions, the polar opposite of his roommate Alhaitham. He is also a well-known Sumeru architect who designed buildings such as the Palace of Alcazarzaray, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Dendro region.

Recent Genshin Impact leaks have revealed more details about Baizhu and Kaveh’s battlefield abilities. Baizhu appears to be a supporting character who can buff his teammates’ offensive and defensive abilities. Rumors also suggest that he will be able to deal some damage, implying that his kit will be similar to Zhongli’s.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
