The collaboration with Gateway Walmart seems to be quite fruitful. The two companies consistently release budget notebooks with good specifications and no major compromises. Gateway announced two WindowsonARM devices, which have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC. The more affordable model of the two seems to be an 11.6-inch GWTC1163 convertible with a touch screen. The larger 13.3-inch GWTN1331 is an ordinary, thin and light notebook with slightly stronger specifications.

The 11.6-inch convertible appears to be have the Kryo 468 octa-core Snapdragon 7c SoC. It contains a 1366 x 768 IPS touch screen, including a stylus. The chassis is slightly thicker (0.9 inches), suitable for a half-wrinkled appearance with a larger frame, so it may be designed for young students. The Port Selection Package includes USBC 3.0 and USBA 2.0 ports, HDMI output, and Ethernet and audio connectors. In addition to the internal network card, this model also seems to support 4G LTE connections via the included SIM card slot.

For the 13.3-inch GWTN1331 model, Gateway offers a slightly faster Snapdragon 845 SoC with 8 Kryo 385 cores, 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB of eMMC. There is no touchscreen here, but the resolution is 1080p, and because the frame is quite thin, the case is actually smaller and thinner than the 11.6-inch model. The port selection also appears to lack HDMI output and Ethernet connectors.

The USBC connector supports DP mode, and in addition to the 4G LTE support of the optional SIM card slot, there may be a wireless adapter. Both models are with Windows 10 Home Edition in S mode, so you can upgrade to Windows 11 whenever possible. No pricing information is currently available, but the cost is around less than $500.
