The Kheira Hamraoui attack case is becoming one of the most talked-about incidents of 2021. Recently, Eric Abidal’s name has been linked to the attack on Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) women’s player, Kheira Hamraoui.
Abidal had a successful sports career with France and Barcelona before he was appointed as the technical secretary at the Catalan Club under the Josep Maria Bartomeu administration.
According to a report published by Le Monde on Monday, after the attack on Hamraoui, the phone chip found from her device was registered under Eric’s name. Some rumors say that they have been dating secretly. There is a possibility of Hayet, Abidal’s wife, being questioned under the investigation.
Female PSG team confirming the same about the Hamraoui attack
Several players from the female PSG team also confirmed that Hamraoui called Abidal just after the day she was attacked. This rumor worked as fuel in the fire and has almost confirmed their dating life. Surprisingly, Kheira Hamraoui was a player of Barcelona herself, during the years of 2018 to 2021. Since Abidal’s tenure as a technical secretary (from 2018 to 2020) overlaps with hers, some rumors say that Abidal might be linked with the Hamraoui attack.
Earlier, Aminata Diallo, a teammate of Hamraoui, was alleged for the attack. There were rumors that she planned the attack to secure her place in the team. But further investigations confirmed that Diallo had no link with the incident. Diallo was also present in the car with Hamraoui when the attack happened.
The masked assailants stopped Hamraoui’s car, dragged her out, and brutally beat her with iron rods. The incident has become the talk of the town, and rumors about assailants shouting, ‘sleeping with married men’ have been spreading. It increases the suspicion that the attack was related to her private life matters, and it had nothing to do with PSG or any other football team.
