The third match of the Euro 2020 was underway between Denmark and Finland. Christian Eriksen is one of the key players for Denmark and was in the starting XI for the match against Finland.
Unfortunately, a tragic incident happened on the field as the Inter Milan midfielder collapsed as a throw-in was taken towards him near the end of the first half at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.
The medical staff was called onto the pitch immediately. They performed CPR on Eriksen, with the Denmark teammates left in tears as the procedures were taking place. The match has now been officially suspended. The whole football fraternity has turned silent due to this tragedy, and everyone is hoping that Eriksen pulls through.
