Though there are some rare records that are meant to never be broken, and people included this record too, once again, it was proved that records are meant to be broken indeed. Haaland registered a brilliant performance against RB Leipzig by scoring 5 goals for his club Manchester City and guided his team to the Quarterfinals of the UCL.
Haaland became the youngest player to reach 30 Champions League goals
Besides equalling Messi’s record, Haaland also became the youngest player to reach 30 Champions League goals by beating Kylian Mbappe with his first in a 7-0 win, and he secured this achievement faster than any other footballer.
The list of breaking records doesn’t even end here, as the Norwegian international broke a 94-year-old record for the most goals scored by a City player in a particular campaign. Also, Erling Haaland became the only third player to score five times in one Champions League match, with the first one being Lionel Messi against Bayer Leverkusen in 2012.

They defeated their opponent by a score of 7-0, where he scored the first goal by a penalty, and with that flow, he didn’t even think to stop, registering his last goal in the match in 57th minute.
