    In a sensational face-off in the last match of the series, England sealed a memorable victory against Pakistan in the last match to again prove that a Test match can give some awesome excitement to the fans. In a terrific nail-biter, Ben Stokes’s team defeated the hosts by 74 runs after some smashing run encounters from both the teams, especially England.

    The guest skipper Ben Stokes sent Pakistan to bowl fast after winning the toss. In a staggering first-inning presentation, the English men put up a total of 657 runs on board. It also included a record of 500 or more runs on the opening day of a Test match. 

    Pakistan responded with a strong 579. In their second inning, England declared a well-made 264/7, leading the hosts to chase down a target of 343.

    On the fifth day of the match, Pakistan managed to score 268, ensuring the guest’s victory. The two will take on each other on 9th December, and fans will be looking forward to some added excitement in the next match.

    The concluding day of the game started in favour of the Englishmen after the well-set Imam-ul-Haq departed early towards the pavilion. However, then a strong 87-run partnership between Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan provided the hosts with a good position. 

    The 27-year-old debutant, Shakeel, showed massive temperament under pressure against a fantastic bowling unit. However, in the end, it was the England bowlers with the smile, with both Anderson and Robinson picking up four wickets each.

    Then came a situation where the Pakistanis needed only half an hour to survive, whereas England needed a wicket. Finally, Jack Leach picked up the last wicket of Naseem Shah to help his team sure the victory of 74 runs.
