David Alaba, whose contract ended this summer with Bayern Munich, has joined Real Madrid on a free transfer. The Austrian has won the European treble with Bayern Munich and is one of the most decorated defenders of the game.
Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos has joined PSG this summer after he failed to negotiate a new deal with the club. Alaba is seen as a replacement for Ramos. However, Ramos’ partner at Real Madrid, Varane, is also expected to leave this summer and sign for Manchester United in the coming days. So, Alaba is most likely to partner with Eder Militao at the heart of the Real Madrid defence.
The signing of David Alaba was confirmed by Real Madrid a long time ago, and now it is finally time for Alaba to be presented as the new Real Madrid player.
He will be having his presentation at Real Madrid’s training complex Valdebebas at 4 pm IST on Wednesday, 21st July.
Real Madrid wrote on their official website: “Real Madrid C. F. are pleased to announce that tomorrow, Wednesday 21 July at 12:30 pm, David Alaba will be presented at Real Madrid City as a new Real Madrid player.”
“David Alaba will then address the media in an online press conference.”
