The 37-year-old Portuguese superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly received a lucrative offer from a Saudi Arabian football club. However, he has reportedly turned down that offer and clarified his intentions about his club’s future.
The Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is currently unhappy with the English Premier League club giants’ weak approach in the present summer transfer window. Early this month, Ronaldo reportedly informed the club to consider his transfer in the case of a strong bid. However, Man United have clarified that the Portuguese football star is not for sale this summer, whose present contract with the club will end in 2023 summer.
Ronaldo is currently on extended leave (due to a family issue), which is permitted by the club. So, he hasn’t toured Thailand and Australia with the team for the pre-season campaign.
Cristiano Ronaldo is looking for other clubs
According to media reports, Ronaldo wants to play for any top UEFA Champions League (UCL) teams in the new season. English Premier League club Chelsea, German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and Spanish La Liga club Atletico Madrid are Ronaldo’s rumoured targets in this transfer window.
While Bayern Munich have cleared that they have no intention to sign Ronaldo, some media reports believe that situation can be changed if Robert Lewandowski exits the club.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is currently busy signing the right-back while his team already has five strikers.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has the priority of signing defenders, and he hasn’t any interest in putting a bid for the forward Ronaldo.
According to a recent report of ESPN, Ronaldo has got a €250million offer to serve for an unnamed Saudi Arabian football club for a two-year contract. Manchester United have reportedly got the €35million bid from that club. However, Ronaldo has reportedly rejected that huge offer.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano further claimed that a US Major League Soccer (MLS) team has also shown their interest in Ronaldo. But Romano also clarified that Ronaldo is only focusing on the European clubs. So, currently, the MLS team also has no chance to sign Ronaldo.
Erik ten Hag and Cristiano Ronaldo
New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is excited to work with Cristiano Ronaldo as he has clarified that the Portuguese is in his plan for the upcoming season.
On the other hand, Ronaldo also earlier clarified his excitement to play under Ten Hag. Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that Ronaldo is only unhappy with the club’s lack of strong intentions for the new season, while he is completely happy with Ten Hag.
