Barcelona are preparing an official bid for Robert Lewandowski in the coming 24 hours. The Poland international has returned to training with Bayern Munich, and has reiterated his desire to move to Camp Nou.

All the parties are in direct contact over his transfer, including his agent, Pini Zahavi. According to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer is in the final stages and a fee for the striker should be agreed very soon.

Should Robert Lewandowski move to Barcelona?

Barcelona’s previous offer close to €40 million has been rejected by Bayern Munich. In the meantime, they have been able to sign Raphinha from Leeds United and have also renewed the contract of Ousmane Dembele.

But now, they are turning to their priority of the summer. Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have been aware of the situation and have registered their interest in the number 9. But, he was always keen on a move to Camp Nou over the other clubs.

Personal terms have never been an issue between Barcelona and Robert Lewandowski. The player has already agreed a three-year contract with the Azulgranas.

Over the last several years, Lewandowski has won the league title in every season with Bayern. He also won the sextuple with the club in 2020 under Hansi Flick, but was not given the Ballon d’Or that year since it was cancelled.

Despite being well into his 30s, the forward has shown can deliver at the top level. And with a club that offers more visibility and challenge like Barca, it could be a good move and would potentially give him a chance to compete for silverware in a new environment.
