The fan-favourite Shipment map returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 this week, and Activision Blizzard detailed the newly improved map ahead of the mid-season update’s release. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s mid-season update also includes double XP, allowing players to advance weaponry even faster while enjoying the chaotic excitement that Shipment brings to the playlist.

The midseason update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on December 14 and will include double XP, double weapon XP, the return of the Shipment map, and other changes to the game’s multiplayer. Previous Call of Duty games, like Vanguard and 2019’s Modern Warfare, have included the iconic Shipment map, which debuted in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Unlike previous incarnations of Shipment, the one in Modern Warfare 2 will take place on a big cargo ship. Large freight containers rise over the map, offering protection from hostile fire. The cargo ship, on the other hand, makes Shipment a more difficult map to travel, and players should consider spawn points before getting into the action.

Activision Blizzard’s most recent blog article delves into Shipment and its spawn places ahead of the mid-season update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 1.

Shipment will be included in the basic multiplayer map rotation, so players will see it in map modes such as Team Deathmatch and Domination. Korean soldiers will spawn in the northeast area of the map, labelled “Bridge Side.” Spectrum soldiers, on the other side, will spawn at the southwest area labelled “Drug Stash.” Each spawn place has crates and shipping containers that can be used as cover when fighting your way to the centre of the map.

According to Activision Blizzard, teams will rush down from the Bridge Side and Drug Stash to fight for control of the centre path. In Modern Warfare 2 game variants like Domination, the capture point will be in the centre of the map, creating a chaotic situation at all times. Because players cannot climb onto containers this time, all action will take place on the ground level. Fortunately, Modern Warfare 2 players can use Drill Charges to blast their way through containers in an attempt to reclaim lost areas in the map’s centre.

According to Activision Blizzard, Shipment will be a “madhouse” of nonstop gunfights, and the map’s structure appears to support that notion. Activision Blizzard urges people to compete in multiplayer by playing the mission in Modern Warfare 2’s version of Shipment. However, in Team Deathmatch, playing the objective will not apply, thus players must become acquainted with the map to gain a hard-earned victory.
