While the German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has got a huge blow after their new striker Sebastien Haller has been diagnosed with a testicular tumour, they have now reportedly offered the popular and experienced Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez to join the club.

The 28-year-old Ivory Coast footballer Sebastien Haller was set for his German Bundesliga return after signing a four-year contract for Dortmund early this month. While Haller had an impressive period last season for the Dutch top-tier club Ajax, there was no doubt about Dortmund’s strong expectation of that striker.
But Haller and Dortmund have been stunned a few days ago when a tumour was found in the striker’s testicular. While the player will now go through the medical treatment, Dortmund now have to find out the other options quickly before the end of the ongoing summer transfer window.
Luis Suarez can be a strong alternative option
According to Sky Sport Germany, Dortmund have approached the 35-year-old striker Luis Suarez. While Suarez is an in-form centre-forward, he is currently a free agent after recently ending his contract for the Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
Former Ajax, Liverpool and Barcelona star Suarez played for Atletico Madrid in the last two seasons. In both those seasons, Suarez finished as their leading goal-scorer, including helping them to win the La Liga 2020/21 trophy.
Suarez is currently busy finding a club. According to some media reports, some clubs are interested in signing this in-form footballer.
Dortmund are going to miss the goal-scoring machine Erling Haaland this season. To fulfil that big hole, in-form Haller was signed for the upcoming season. But Haller’s surprising testicular tumour diagnosis has left the BVB in dark. Now, the German club has to work faster to add one or more in-form centre-forwards, and the free agent Suarez can undoubtedly be a strong option for them.
