At their WWDC 2022 presentation, Apple unveiled the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with an M2 processor. The MacBook Air sports a redesigned design that is identical to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. The company appears to be far from done, as it plans to deliver a new 15-inch MacBook Air and a 12-inch MacBook in 2023.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new 15-inch MacBook Pro will be similar in size to the current 16-inch MacBook Pro. This would be the MacBook Air’s first time with such a huge display. At present, the latest M2-powered MacBook Air sports a 13.6-inch display. The 15-inch MacBook Air will, according to the insider, feature the same design as the 13.6-inch MacBook Air. The phone is said to sport a flat unibody design with a notch on top.
A 12-inch Apple MacBook will be released, according to Gurman, in addition to the 15-inch MacBook Air. The machine’s name is unknown, but it could be a successor to the 12-Inch Retina MacBook, which is no longer available.
The 15-inch MacBook Air is expected to be released in early 2023 during a Spring event, according to the expert. The 12-inch MacBook could be released by the end of next year or early in 2024. Both of these computers contain Apple Silicon.
By the end of the year, high-end MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs may be available. The release date could be pushed out to 2023, according to the expert. The M2 Max processor will have a 12-core CPU and a 38-core GPU. Apple is also preparing its M3 processors for future Macs. Later this year, M2 CPUs will be available in new iPad Pro variants. Apple is expected to unveil a new 14.1-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED display, ProMotion, and the M2 CPU in early 2023.
