The AIFF Executive Committee has given its approval to the AIFF Competitions Calendar for the 2024-25 season. Additionally, the Nomination Criteria for Member Associations have been formulated to guarantee an equitable and uniform selection procedure.

Indian Football Team Senior Men’s Football Calendar Overview for 2024-25 Season
The senior men’s calendar is slated to commence with the Durand Cup in late July. Following this, the Indian Super League is scheduled to begin in mid-September, with the I-League following suit in mid-October.
The Indian Women’s League is set to kick off in late October, while IWL 2 will commence in late January and I-League 2 in mid-January. All these senior leagues are planned to conclude by the end of April 2025. Additionally, I-League 3, serving as a qualifying tournament for I-League 2, is scheduled for August and September.
Concurrently, the Super Cup will run alongside the league season from October to mid-May. The AIFF Youth Leagues (U13/U15/U17) are slated for a nine-month duration from September to May.
Regarding national state tournaments, the Junior Boys and Junior Girls National Football Championship Tier 1 and Tier 2 are set for July, followed by the Sub-Junior Boys and Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championship Tier 1 and Tier 2 in August.
The 29th Senior Women’s National Football Championship will be held in September (Group Stage) and October (Final Round), while the 78th National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy is scheduled for November (Group Stage) and December (Final Round).
Moreover, the National Beach Soccer Championship is scheduled for February 2025, and the Men’s Futsal Club Championship will take place in May 2025.
The Nomination Criteria for Member Associations for the 2024-25 season of IWL 2, I-League 3, the AIFF Youth Leagues (U13/U15/U17), and the Men’s Futsal Club Championship have also been revealed.
Nomination Criteria and Guidelines for AIFF Competitions: IWL 2, I-League 3, and AIFF Youth Leagues
To nominate clubs for IWL 2, Member Associations (MAs) must organize a league featuring at least six teams, each playing a minimum of 10 matches.
For I-League 3 nominations, MAs must hold a league with a minimum of eight teams, each playing at least 14 matches.
To nominate clubs for AIFF Youth Leagues, MAs should organize a league with six to eight teams, with each team playing 10-14 matches. Match durations will be the standard 90 minutes for U15 and U17, and 50 minutes for U13.
All leagues must be registered on the Competition Management System (CMS). The nomination deadline is June 7, 2024. MAs may organize additional competitions if previously conducted ones do not meet the nomination criteria. Additionally, MAs can nominate teams other than the champions if the champions have already secured a spot in AIFF competitions through other means.
