Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has suggested that club president Florentino Perez consider a rebuild of the squad amid the ongoing troubles in the La Liga giants. He has detected seven major players as the main component for the team’s revival.
Reportedly, Ancelotti has claimed his share of responsibility for the recent troubles in the club. Subsequently, he believes Perez hasn’t done enough to upgrade the squad after their UEFA Champions League win last year.
Who are the seven key players identified by Ancelotti at Real Madrid?
Los Blancos, presently are three points off league leaders Barcelona in the La Liga points table. They also had a hard 3-1 loss at the Spanish Super Cup finals.
The first player on Ancelotti’s list in Real Madrid is goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. He might not be at his bests since last season; his presence yet makes a difference. The second name on the list is defender Eder Militao, for his mentionable speed, strength, and goal-scoring capacity, as evident in their 3-2 victory against Villarreal in the Copa del Rey round of 16.
Midfielders Toni Kroos and Aurelien Tchouameni are major assets for the future. The latter has been an important part of Los Blancos this season, coming from AS Monaco last summer and replacing Casemiro.
Kross has had a welcome break for a month after the Qatar World Cup 2022 and might get an extension because he’s out of contract this summer. The major entries in the list are attackers Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr. Though they haven’t been in their best forms compared to last season, their respective contributions are a must for Real Madrid.
Last but not least is Federico Valverde. The Uruguayan midfielder is Ancelotti’s one of most dedicated men and can have super contributions in different positions.
