In January 2022, Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service saw the debut of some high-profile new games, with more on the way. Microsoft has revealed that nine more games will be added to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service in the second half of January 2022, with two of them accessible to try out today.

On January 18, Microsoft unexpectedly released Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition for Game Pass, with the previously announced Nobody, Saves the World. Both are Xbox Game Pass games that were released on the same day, however, Danganronpa was previously available on other platforms. Meanwhile, Nobody Saves the World is an entirely new game from prominent indie developer Drinkbox Studios, which is most known for its work on the Guacamelee series.

These first-day releases make January 18 a major day for Xbox Game Pass users, but there’s plenty more coming later this week. Six separate Xbox Game Pass games will be released on January 20, four of them are brand-new, day-one releases. Hitman Trilogy, Pupperazzi, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, and Windjammers 2 will all be available as day one Xbox Game Pass games on January 20, while Rainbow Six Siege will be available on the PC edition of Game Pass for the first time.
