Minecraft Legends, a new day-one first-party title for Xbox Game Pass, is added along with the rest of the month’s “wave 2” of games. This translates to the addition of two more games to the Xbox Game Pass April 2023 lineup in addition to reiterating some titles and confirming some dates. Minecraft Legends is undoubtedly a significant purchase for Xbox Game Pass. After Ghostwire: Tokyo, it’s the second first-party game to be added this month.
Redfall will be added on May 2 after that. Receiving three (or more) first-party titles within a month is fantastic for the service because getting day-one first-party titles on the service is a big deal for both fans and Microsoft. In order to defend the Overworld from an invasion of Piglins in Minecraft Legends, players must interact with action and strategy elements.
The Xbox One version of Medieval Dynasty will be released on April 20 (although the Xbox Series X version is already available on the service), and BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition will be released on April 27. In the former, players must make sure that their new dynasty is prosperous by managing their town and practising survival crafting. In contrast, BlazBlue is a 2D fighting game that features a variety of characters from various series, including the one that bears its name, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth, and RWBY.
Here are the Game Pass titles for this month:
- Minecraft Legends (Cloud, Console, and PC) – April 18
- Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly (Cloud, Console, and PC) – April 20
- Medieval Dynasty (Xbox One version) – April 20
- Homestead Arcana (Cloud, Console, and PC) – April 21
- Cassette Beasts (PC) – April 26
- BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) – April 27
- The Last Case of Benedict Fox (Console and PC) – April 27
- Redfall (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X) – May 2
Even though there are many different games here, some players might not particularly enjoy any of them. The good news is that May is a new month with just as much potential as April. Redfall, Ravenlok, Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, Amnesia: The Bunker, Railway Empire 2, and Farworld Pioneers are the six games that Xbox Game Pass has so far confirmed for May 2023.
