Virat Kohli‘s lean patch finally ended in Asia Cup 2022. The star player scored his 71st century and he has moved up in the rankings to number 15. Sri Lankan Player also displayed his potential in the tournament and jumped to the sixth position on the bowler rankings and seven spots to the fourth on the all-rounder list.
Though Kohli’s ton didn’t benefit the nation, it surely fixed his place in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Right now, Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav is at the top. He’s currently at the fourth position in the ICC ranking. He’s the only Indian to feature in the top ten batters list in the shorter format. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is at no. 14.

Before the Asia Cup, Virat Kohli was at the 33rd position in the T20I rankings but after he smashed 276 runs in 5 games and jumped to the 15th place in the latest rankings.
He’s also ranked 60th in the ICC T20 all-rounders ranking and third best after Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja.
He had a tough time scoring runs in 2022. During India’s tour of England in July, His highest score was just 20 runs.
Virat Kohli scored good runs in the first two games but failed to open his account against Sri Lanka. In India’s last match against Afghanistan, fans didn’t have a lot of expectations from Kohli and that’s when the miracle happened. The run machine got back his vintage form and ended up scoring his maiden T20I century and 71st ton.
