IPL 2021 phase 2 is all set to take place in the United Arab Emirates from September 19th. The initial phase of IPL 2021 started in April but was suspended due to the sudden rise in covid cases.
Eventually, when it was confirmed to take place in September, many players backed out, as they had to play matches for their country at that time. Due to this, many franchises had to sign new players for a replacement. Here’s what is stated below, the top 5 new signings for the IPL phase 2.
Tim Southee
Kolkata Knight Riders have signed the experienced 32-year old Kiwi pacer Tim Southee, as a replacement of the Australian pacer Pat Cummins. Southee is an experienced fast bowler who played for many IPL franchises, including CSK, RR, RCB, and MI. Kolkata is currently in the 7th position, and Southee is expected to show his experience and help KKR to come to the top.
Adil Rashid
Adil Rashid got signed by the Punjab Kings. PBKS brought the English spinner in the place of Jhye Richardson. Adil is an experienced bowler and a regular player of the English Nation team, he will represent Punjab in the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League.
Glenn Phillips
Rajasthan Royals star player Jos Butter has also backed out for the remainder of the IPL. RR has signed Glenn Phillips who is a 24-year-old Kiwi wicketkeeper-batsman. He is a T20 specialist and fans will be eager to watch him play for RR.
Tabraiz Shamsi
Rajasthan Royals have also signed the South African leg-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi. He had played in the Indian Premier League earlier and is currently the number t20 spinner. He will also be very much exciting to watch in the remainder of the tournament.

One of the most exciting signings for the 2021 IPL Phase 2 is Tim David. Royal Challengers Bangalore has signed the Singaporian big hitter. He is the first player to take part in the IPL from this country. Tik David has played in the Big Bash League and has proved himself as a destructive batsman.
