Take-Two is hoping to deliver amazing results in for the financial year 2025 due to GTA 6
For the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024, Take Two hosted an investor call on August 8th, 2023. Insightful new information has surfaced on the company’s performance this year and its upcoming game release schedule. Take-Two has once more hinted at a significant forthcoming release for 2019, which is likely the eagerly awaited GTA 6.

The first quarter net bookings for Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two were $1.2 billion, according to the most recent earnings call. This represents a 20% increase year over year for the same quarter of 2022. Recurring consumer expenditure, which increased by 38% year over year and included the purchase of DLCs and other microtransactions, also played a role in this.
Grand Theft Auto 5 achieved 185 million unit sales worldwide, and Red Dead Redemption 2 surpassed 55 million units sold.
In recent disclosures, Take Two is actively engaged in producing the Borderlands movie in collaboration with Lionsgate, as well as working on a BioShock film in partnership with Netflix. However, Zelnick, the company’s executive, expresses a cautious outlook on the profitability of adapting their game titles.

The CEO characterizes such adaptations as “typically very challenged asset classes,” leading to their meticulous approach toward licensing. Despite the positive reception of HBO’s The Last of Us and Universal’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Zelnick highlights that these instances of success shouldn’t overshadow the numerous failures that resulted in financial losses.
