The former cricketers of India and Pakistan have given their prediction of the match that’s going to be held on October 23. Here’s what the legends of cricket Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Wasim Akram & Sunil Gavaskar have to say.
Sunil Gavaskar
Sunil Gavaskar predicted that Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, and Dinesh Karthik would be in the starting lineup. Team India has two great options for wicketkeeping in the T20 World Cup which are Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik. He further picks India as the winner.
Virender Sehwag
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has selected Pakistani captain Babar Azam as his favourite to hit the most runs at the ICC T20 World Cup in 2022. “He has been extraordinary. Great fun to watch. There is a sense of calmness whenever Virat Kohli bats and you get something similar when watching Babar,” he added.
Zaheer Khan
The former cricketer thinks Inda will beat Pakistan on Sunday. He also feels India has the potential to reach the finals. Despite Bumrah’s injury, he believes the consistency of India can take India to the top.
Ravi Shastri
The group of hitters his side has put together for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, according to former India coach Ravi Shastri, is the best he has ever seen. “With Suryakumar Yadav at No.4, Hardik (Pandya) at No.5, and Rishabh Pant or Dinesh Karthik at No.6 it makes a massive difference as it allows the top order to play the way they are playing.”– he said
Wasim Wakram
Pakistani bowling legend Wasim Akram feels that India, Pakistan, and Australia will be advancing to the semifinals. However, he believes that South Africa is a dark horse. “Australia, India, and Pakistan should compete in the semifinals, in my opinion. However, South Africa might be a surprise,”– he said
