STALKER 2 is set to be released on December 1st, 2023, according to a German retailer. Earlier leaks and speculations also mentioned a December release, so it’s not far-fetched. This date, combined with other rumours, shows that it is most likely accurate.
Plain, a German retailer, has listed STALKER 2: Hearts of Chornobyl for release on December 1, 2023. In addition to the rumours, it was revealed that the game will be present and playable at Gamescom later this month. All of these factors point to December 1st as a possible release date.
Due to the ongoing war, the development of STALKER 2 has been extremely difficult.
The country has been in upheaval for a long time, according to GSC Game World, a Ukraine studio. To make matters worse, Russian hackers obtained dozens of GBs of game content and threatened to leak it.
Despite the game encountering multiple difficulties, GSC has managed to deliver, which is quite outstanding. STALKER 2 seems pretty good based on the gameplay footage we’ve seen thus far. STALKER 2 is a game we are looking forward to because of the amazing visual fidelity of Unreal Engine 5 and the awesome-looking mechanics.
STALKER 2 was eventually reannounced in 2018 with a 2021 release date. The first firm date was April 28th, 2022, which was then pushed back to December as previously stated. Then the war broke out, forcing the developers to put their projects on hold for a few months as they regained their bearings. STALKER 2 intends to improve on the aspects that made the original game a cult favourite, launching on PC and Xbox Series S|X, as well as Game Pass from day one.
