Back in 2018, Cristiano Ronaldo threw an attack that didn’t go as he had planned. The Portuguese star was under his contract terms as a player with Real Madrid but what he didn’t know was that nothing is going to remain the same ever again. The great successes he had in the club, both individually and collectively, were never to be returned again.
Ronaldo’s hopeless dream
With each passing time, the Portuguese striker planned to return to the club again, but this was something the club wasn’t interested in. He wasn’t very much aware of this. The Cristiano chapter at Real Madrid was concluded in February 2018, and no one around Valdebebas has had discussions of reopening a closed chapter. Dreams remain dreams, and the same for the great Cristiano Ronaldo!
In the current times, a slight possibility of his return came up by his training at the club’s facilities. There was even discussion of a lower offer from England, with the striker taking on a lesser role in the team, something totally unmatched by the Portuguese’s character.
He desired to return to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. However, in reality, football has created his distance from the Elite, as instance shown by his signing with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassar. It was settled in a two-and-a-half-year deal on Friday afternoon.
Goodbye to Juve
After his blotchy departure from Juventus in 2021, and coinciding with the stepping in of Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, he saw a time to get back to the club once the relationship was better. He signed for his older club, Manchester United, which didn’t end on a good note either, as it became evident in the middle of the 2022 Qatar World Cup with the discontinuation of the contract.
Carlo Ancelotti’s last Thursday statement was,
“We do not need reinforcements in the winter market.”
The present reality is, Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing for Al Nassar.
