While the exact figure for a TV premiere is not known yet, it is expected to be in the range of Rs. 6 to 8 crores, taking the total revenue to Rs. 36 crores,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
Apart from this, the filmmakers have also received a reasonable sum from music and additional or collateral sources too, which seems to be a profitable venture for producer Venus. It was heard from the source that overall revenue is estimated to be around Rs. 45 crores which mean that Ratan Jain’s banner film will have a profit of Rs. 10 crores as the estimated budget of Hungama 2 is around Rs. 30 crores.
“The film is an ensemble of acclaimed actors, but none of them is a superstar and hence, Priyadarshan has been able to mount it on a big scale. The inside reports are fantastic with some calling it a laugh-a-thon,” the source further told Bollywood Hungama.
