Much has been stated about how the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in terms of performance, at least in terms of the CPU. Despite outstanding achievements from the Dimensity 9000-powered Redmi K50 Pro and OPPO Find X5 Pro, it appears that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 still tops AnTuTu’s performance charts in China.
The Redmi K50 Pro receives a score of 247,783 on AnTuTu’s CPU test. The OPPO Find X5 Pro gets 257,690, which is a cautious result. The Nubia RedMagic 7 Pro, on the other hand, is the highest-scoring Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 device in the test, with a score of 242,965—due to its active cooling, no doubt. The average score for Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones appears to be around 220,000. These data demonstrate that phones powered by the MediaTek Chip have a CPU advantage of roughly 12%.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 takes the lead against Dimensity 9000 in GPU Testing
The Qualcomm Adreno 730 remains the best GPU on the Android market, with ARM’s Mali-G710 MC10 on the Dimensity 9000 failing to compete. AnTuTu’s GPU test gives the Redmi K50 Pro a score of 389,087. The Nubia RedMagic 7 Pro, on the other hand, receives a score of 444,786. Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones, on the other hand, appear to score around 420,000, which gives them a 10% advantage over the Dimensity 9000.
These figures, of course, only provide data on raw performance. The Dimensity 9000 has the best CPU performance, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has the best GPU performance. However, when power consumption is taken into account, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 appears to be more efficient across the board.
