The red devils of club football, Manchester United, suffered the most loss during the COVID 19 pandemic, when it hit various clubs, declining their financial stability. Not only Man United, but the other Premier clubs did suffer very much, including Arsenal, Chelsea, etc.
This happened mainly because there were no games for 3 seasons when the covid initially emerged. Except for the three teams including Aston Villa, Norwich, and Sheffield United, which were initially promoted: apart from that, all the teams got a big blow, suffering a loss of 618 million pounds.
The loss faced by Aston Villa, Norwich, and Sheffield on the other hand is almost nil. They profited from new lucrative TV deals, and recording profits of £59 million, £122 million, and £85 million respectively.
Manchester United suffering the hardest hit
Football did return in July 2020 but took place in empty stadiums. Manchester United had a stadium capacity of 75,000. With a huge capacity, and not a single audience; Man United eventually facing the hardest strike. After the red devils, Man City, Tottenham, West Ham, and Arsenal suffered the most.
The return of the fans
Fans are striking back to the football stadiums and coming to see the new season of the Premier League. All the ticket holders should get themselves ready to give full vaccination proof, the English Premier League stated.
On the other hand, supporters must maintain their precautions by wearing masks indoors, avoid close contact with strangers, and should also follow one-way signage around the stadiums.
With the return of the fans, the football clubs are hoping to get back their former financial stability. It is likely to happen soon, but still, the clubs will take a bit of time, to fully recover.
