The Dutch footballer, Luuk De Jong explained why he belongs among the most vital signings of the club Barcelona FC. De Jong came to Los Blancos this summer and is indeed one of the most important players for Barcelona at present. The striker came from Sevilla FC, and Barca signed him up on loan.
The need for a good striker at Barca
Barcelona FC was in immediate need of an efficient striker when Sergio Aguero got ruled out due to an injury. Losing Messi this summer was a reason too.
However, considering the financial situation of the club, a new addition didn’t seem obvious in the first place. But as Antoine Griezman moved to Atletico Madrid on loan, that’s going to be permanent, Barca got the opportunity to register a new frontman. De Jong has previously worked with Koeman in the Netherlands. Over the last two years, he has been good for Sevilla scoring some significant goals. Fans will be eager to see him play a crucial role in his new club.

The 31-old striker has pointed out why he is a good pick for the club. Talking about his excitement to join the club he said that, his height and the fact how good he is with his head, make him different from the other strikers in the group.
The Dutchman further added that he knows he won’t be a part of every game, but he is confident about his abilities. Mentioning his previous experience with the head coach De Jong said that Koeman knows him for a long time and he surely needs a player with height in the final minutes to stay ahead in the aerial game. Jong even added he has other qualities too, to add value to his side.
