Sohn states, “These are exciting times for EVs. We aim not just to be a part of the mobility revolution of EVs in India but to make EV ownership aspirational, accessible, and inclusive. Our global best EV, Kia EV6 launched in India earlier this year and it is the perfect illustration of our philosophy. Subsequently, launching this 240-kWh DC fast charger for EV passenger vehicles in Kochi brings me joy.”

Recall that earlier this year, the Kia EV6 made its debut in India. This vehicle is built on Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), an EV platform. The electric vehicle is anticipated to have a 77 KWh battery pack and have a single charge range of about 528 kilometres. The Kia EV6 can reach 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, according to the manufacturer.

The Kia EV6 is available in two all-wheel drive variants: GT and GT-Line. While the GT-Line is anticipated to deliver 347 horsepower at 605 Nm of peak torque, the GT model can produce 229 horsepower at 350 Nm of peak torque.
