Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has had a brilliant start at Partenopei and will be back in action against Roma.
The Georgian arrives at Maradona in the summer from Dinamo Batumi for around € 10 million, with a number of other clubs trying to sign him this summer and in the past. However, Napoli is clearly one of the best offers in the window.
Along with Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one of the best players in Serie A so far, second in the league for goals without penalties and assists per 90 minutes and second in dribblers per 90 minutes.
He was also a trusted creator, ranking second for most goal-creation actions. Overall, he has scored 5 goals and has 5 assists in Serie A, and in his 4 appearances in the Champions League, he has contributed 5 goals.
Victor Osimhen warns Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is just getting started
As stated by team-mate Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is “just getting started” and “has the quality to make Napoli dream this season.”
The 21-year-old scored his eighth direct goal in Serie A in Napoli’s 3-2 win over Bologna at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday, setting up Osimhen for the winner.
“I am really happy for him, he deserves everything he is getting now,” Osimhen said to DAZN of Kvaratskhelia. “He is just getting started, you guys have seen nothing yet.”
“I believe he has the quality to make us dream this season, he has big confidence, and we are here to help support him. You can see he has been decisive for us.”
“This is what we call team spirit,” he added. “We started well; Bologna is a good team, but we needed these points.”
“Big kudos to the coach for the second-half talk; he gave us the zeal to go out for this game. I am happy about this victory. I love the solidarity in this team, which is the most important thing at this level.”
