The Wrestling fans are all set for WrestleMania 32, and now the financial aspect of WWE has become a trendy topic to talk about.
One of the hottest topics of discussion is the earnings of WWE superstars, with John Cena and Brock Lesnar being the highest-paid athletes.
How much money does John Cena make annually?
Forbes states that John Cena leads the lot with an incredible annual earning of $9.5 million. Brock Lesnar stands closely behind him with a whopping figure of $6 million.
With the staggering figures, Cena is the highest-paid WWE Superstar. His magnanimous income not only highlights his huge fan base but also hints at the lack of star depth within WWE.
The substantial gap between Cena and his colleagues in their overall earnings hints at the disparity in pay in WWE. Forbes has crafted a top-five list of highest-paid WWE superstars that include: John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins.
Triple H earns a mammoth $2.8 million. The figures are $2.7 million for Orton and $2.4 million for Rollins. The figures show the financial rewards that come up for the ones with massive talent in the wrestling industry.
Cena’s absence from this year’s WrestleMania highlights his supreme significance in professional wrestling. He has become the epitome of standard, against which other superstars are measured and his huge financial success clearly talks about his skyskipping popularity.
Cena’s sensational legacy on and off the ring justified his huge financial success and the craziness among fans for their favourite superstar.
Nearing his retirement
Cena, who is soon to be 50, is coming to India this September 8th, to participate in the Superstar Spectacle, to be hosted by Hyderabad. That’s surely a moment of euphoria for all the Indian wrestling and Cena fans and the atmosphere is already buzzing with uncontrollable excitement.
After the Friday Night SmackDown, Cena has stated,
“Every single chance I get to go out there becomes more and more special. There is no denying the fact that I’m 46 and starting down 47. I have been here for over two decades. As I said out there in the ring, the last one is not tonight, but I know it’s soon. To speak candidly, when you’re involved in this every day in a full-time capacity, you just think about what’s next.”
Cena is in talks to host the Payback speaking of which he said,
“I’ve never quite hosted. I just found that out right before I went down there, and I want to make sure everyone knows I’ll be at the Premium Live Event Payback as the host, and I don’t even know what that means.
I have a lot of mutual respect for the Miz; he’s a man that wears many hats; maybe I can engage in a conversation with him and get some suggestions; he’s done the job quite well.”
