However, MI tried their level best to succeed and they got the victory as well, but couldn’t get that win which was necessary for them to qualify for the finals.

MI needed to defeat SRH by 171 runs, and fans even though that it would be an impossible thing for any team to defeat their opposition by that margin. But Mumbai’s performance in the first innings did make many people believe that the mission would have been possible.

    The match

Mumbai batted first and put up a mammoth score of 235 on the board with the loss of 9 wickets. They certainly gave a magnificent fight to the orange army, and their opposition had no answer to it. MI’s opener Ishan Kishan played a brilliant knock of 84 of 32 balls with 11 fours and 4 sixes. Also, Suryakumar Yadav scored 82 of 40 balls with 13 fours and 3 sixes. These two were the only two big scores from MI, and none except them could get past the 20 run mark.
