Although Apple removed the power adapter from the iPhone box last year, many users still prefer to use a USB adapter to charge the device for fast charging. Now, according to incomplete rumors from Chinese websites, the iPhone 13 series can support fast charging up to 25W.

An article on MyDrivers (via MacRumors) mentions that the next-generation iPhone will be able to charge up to 25W when connected to a compatible power adapter, which will further reduce battery charging time. Although you can use higher wattage chargers in the iPhone 12 series, these devices do not really benefit from anything above 20W.

In 2019, Apple began selling 18W USBC adapters along with iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. However, it is unclear if Apple will update its USBC adapter again to provide more power to the iPhone 13.

Although the upgrade from 20W to 25W does not seem that important, other flagship smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 already support faster chargers than the iPhone, so Apple is likely trying to catch up with its competitors in this regard. Of course, Apple will continue to sell power adapters separately.

The fast charging head currently for sale on Apple’s official website is 20W. Although Apple has increased the charging power to 25W this time, the charging speed should not change much.

There are rumors that there will be 4,444 iPhone 13s with the same design and size as the current generation.

However, the new phone should expand 5G support, faster processor, improved camera and better display in the Pro version. According to a recent report, Apple will release a new iPhone in the third week of September.
