    India becomes the No 1 Test team in ICC rankings

    India registered a dominant victory over New Zealand to become the number one team in Test cricket again as per the ICC rankings. He secured the series win by 1-0 and became the latest one to achieve the first position in ICC Test Rankings. India had 119 points, but at present, they have 124 points in their point after winning the series against the Kiwis.

    India dominant over New Zealand

    In both of the tests, India showed their dominance over the Black Caps. After winning the last game, they recorded their 14th consecutive test series victory at home. In the ongoing year of 2021, India has gained victory in four matches whereas faced defeat in only one, against England in their home ground and one is drawn.

    The second Test at Wankhede

    In the second match of the series, India was dominant from the starting itself. At first, they registered a good score of 325, whereas Mayank Agarwal scored a brilliant 150. Also, Axar Patel played a good knock of 52. Ajaz Patel the lone warrior made history in this match by picking up all the 10 wickets. However, all were in vain when NZ got all out on only 62, in their first innings.

    Again India in their second innings batted well, and declared on 276 with a loss of 7 wickets, and gave New Zealand a target of 540. New Zealand’s innings ended soon as they got all out in 167, with both Ashwin and Jayant Yadav picking up 4 wickets each.
