With a very short time left for the 2022 IPL Mega Auction, India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh declared to hang up his boots in IPL 2022. Harbhajan will be seen in a different role in the upcoming IPL edition, most likely as a key member of the support staff in any of the IPL franchises. The 41-year-old who appeared in a few matches in the first phase of IPL 2021, didn’t appear in a single game in the second phase of the tournament.

The news of Harbhajan officially announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket is likely to be declared by him in the next week. Also, he has got the role of being a support staff from a couple of franchises. It is to be seen for which team he finally goes.
Sources state that his upcoming role could be of a consultant or a mentor or a part of the advisory group but his vast experience will be used in that franchise wherever he goes. He will also play a good role in assisting that particular franchise to decide on their auction picks.

Bhajji is already in talks with a particular franchise and will be seen on their colours soon. The course also stated that Harbhajan Singh wanted to officially retire after the end of the last IPL season. He had extended talks with a specific franchise which has shown good interest in the former Indian spinner. The name of the franchise will be disclosed when the deal between the two gets finalized officially.

Harbhajan had a wonderful career with numerous accomplishments. He is a one-time ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup winner, and 4-time IPL winner, and is the fourth-highest wicket-taker in test cricket as an off-spinner.
