Gujarat Titans won their first-ever IPL trophy under the leadership of Hardik Pandya. GT faced RR in their finals and won the game by 7 wickets. No one had major expectations from this team since the squad wasn’t star-studded and its skipper Hardik Pandya didn’t produce an amazing performance for a long period of time. His former franchise team, Mumbai Indians too didn’t retain him.

Let’s talk about the main factors that helped Gujarat Titans lift their first-ever trophy in their debut season.

Ashish Nehra scripted history with GT’s win since he became the first head coach under whom an IPL team has won the title. His grooming and all his experiences in the game of cricket helped him take the players on the right path.
