GTA V Enhanced Arrives on PC With Ray Tracing & DLSS 3

Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced has officially launched on PC, introducing a host of new features designed to improve the overall experience. The game’s most advanced edition is here, with a host of visual and performance improvements in this upgraded version, all of which are already available to download.

These include new ray-tracing options like ray-traced global illumination and ambient occlusion that drastically enhance the game’s lighting and shadows. These improvements exceed the visuals of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.

The game also features NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 1 and 3, and DirectStorage for quicker loading times. A screenshot shared by ResetERA forum user gabdeg showcases these new features. The lack of HDR support has been pointed to by some as a disappointment.

Although it’s unknown how much these ray tracing enhancements improve the game as a whole, initial comparisons show a massively noticeable visual upgrade. Early indications for performance show that the update is well-optimized, and it seems Rockstar Games has done a good job in this regard.

Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced can be acquired completely free of charge to all PC players. The Legacy version will still be available for anyone whose hardware can afford it not to have the new edition.
