Recently, the Indian team took an exit from T20 World Cup after being defeated by England by 10 wickets in the semifinals. India lifted its last ICC Trophy in 2013. The fans and critics are extremely disappointed with the performance of the current Indian team and so is India’s ex-skipper Kapil Dev who labeled the men in blue as the ‘New Chokers’ of World Cricket

Kapil Dev is known for speaking his heart out without caring about anyone, though that has troubled him a lot of times.

Kapil Dev has, however, also encouraged the supporters to be gentle with the Indian squad as they heal from their semifinal loss. India played poorly, but the former captain said that it was unfair to assess the squad only on that game.

“But don’t be too harsh. I agree, India played bad cricket, but we cannot be overly critical based on just one game,” he said.

Since winning the 2013 Champions Trophy, India hasn’t won any ICC trophy. However, the men in blue will have plenty of competition in the ICC schedule, which includes the Champions Trophy in 2025, the T20 World Cup in 2024, and the 50-over World Cup in 2023.
