Microsoft is finally adding a dark mode to its Office app for Android. Although the Office app has been available on iOS and Android for over a year, only the iOS version has so far included built-in Dark Mode support.
“It’s been a highly requested feature by many of our customers,” admits Sourab Nagpal, Microsoft’s product manager. “Many people prefer using Dark Mode as they find it provides a more comfortable visual experience for reading and working on mobile devices.”
The latest Office app for Android will now automatically enable Dark Mode if you set it as a system choice on your Android device. Dark mode can also be toggled from the Home tab in Office applications. Microsoft has said that it is turning to dark mode for Android Office in the coming weeks, so it may not be immediately available to all users.
Microsoft Office for Android applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint has combined into a single application. It scans the PDF, even whiteboard, text, and tables to capture the digital version includes a Quick-Step. You can download Microsoft’s Office app for Android from the Google Play Store.
