F1 2022 has now entered the holiday period after the busy July schedule. Here we are looking at the latest F1 2022 standings after the latest Grand Prix in Hungary (Hungarian Grand Prix).
At the end of July 2022, F1 2022 completed 13 out of the latest 22 scheduled Grand Prix. Belgian Grand Prix will be the next race which has been scheduled on 28th August.
F1 2022 Driver Standings
The 24-year-old defending champion Max Verstappen is leading World Drivers’ Championship with 258 points. Despite an unlucky start in the opening round Bahrain Grand Prix, the Red Bull driver has already managed to win eight GPs along with ten podium finishes.
Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari driver, started this F1 season by winning the Bahrain Grand Prix. Currently, the second positioned driver is 80 points (178 points) behind the leading driver. His teammate Carlos Sainz is three places behind Leclerc with 156 points. Apart from his four retires, he has always finished the races in the top five positions this season (six podium finishes; one win).
Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez is chasing Leclerc as the Mexican has 173 points.
The joint-record time World Drivers’ Championship titles winner Lewis Hamilton is in the sixth spot with 146 points. He has struggled this season as he is still waiting for his first GP win this season. Hamilton has managed six podium finishes this season, including all the last five races. His Mercedes teammate George Russell has earned 158 points as he is standing in the fourth spot.
Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel has just revealed his retirement from the F1 after the end of this season. The four-time World Drivers’ Championship winner is currently in 14th position with just 16 points. He missed the first two races this season due to COVID-19, and later, he managed to earn points in five GPs. Vettel’s best finish this season is the sixth position in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

F1 2022 Constructor Standings
The four-time F1 constructors’ championship winner Red Bull Racing is strongly leading the F1 2022 constructor standings with 431 points, 97 points more than the second-placed Ferrari, who are holding the record of winning most constructors’ championship titles (16 times). While Red Bull last time won the F1 constructors’ championship in 2013, Ferrari won its last F1 constructors’ championship title in 2008.
The last eight-time F1 constructors’ championship winner, Mercedes are currently in the third spot with 304 points.
