Simon Kjaer and Leonardo Bonucci are the bests as center backs in this EURO 2020 season. The Danish captain, Simon Kjaer leaded his team magnificently. Under his captaincy, Denmark gave a tough fight to the Belgians, by scoring the first goal of the match. However, Denmark lost the match, But Simon Kjaer’s captaincy is worth remembering throughout the season. He also helped in saving Cristian Eriksen’s life when he collapsed in the field.
On the other hand, Leonardo Bonucci is also a good option as a center-back. He is also the captain of his team, Italy, and leading them well. However, he is yet to score a goal yet at the EURO 2020.
Paul Pogba, Manuel Locatelli & Kevin De Bruyne as Center Mid-fielders
All these three players are the perfect casting for center mid-fielders. Paul Pogba from France has arguably been the best player of the tournament. He hasn’t scored any goal so far but has completely dominated the opposition team. He certainly plays better for his national team, than his club, Manchester City.
Manuel Locatelli of Italy is among the young generations, who have been a rising star in this tournament. In their game against Switzerland, he scored a couple of goals at first, completely taking the victory chance away from Switzerland. The 23-year-old player has some great attacking skills as well.
Kevin De Bruyne of Belgium is considered the best mid-fielder in the world at present, and he proved in this season that why he is called so. He missed the first match, due to injury, but came back in the second, where he performed an assist, along with performing the victory goal, and gave his team a 2-1 win over Denmark. He made an assist in the second game too. With his incredible performance so far, he is likely now the best player in Belgium.
Georginio Winjnaldum as the Attacking mid-fielder
The 30-year-old George Winjnaldum of the Netherlands has also played a significant role in taking his nation to the knockouts. He has scored three goals till now and is expected to keep up his form for further EURO 2020 matches.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku as Strikers
What more can anyone want apart from this deadliest combination of Ronaldo and Lukaku? This is certainly justified, depending upon their performances at the EURO 2020. Lukaku, the highest goals scorer of Belgium of all time, has already netted three goals, in two different matches.
On the other hand, one of the greatest of all times, Cristiano Ronaldo has netted 5 goals so far, being the highest goal scorer in the European Championship, as well as he became the highest goal-scorer in international football, by touching Ali Daei’s record of 109.
