As EA Sports opted not to extend the FIFA license, FIFA 23 will be the last licensed football game released by the company. While FIFA looks for a different developer to create the 2024 game, they will concentrate on a new brand named EA Sports FC.

Despite this, EA Sports has guaranteed that FIFA 23 will be the most comprehensive game they have ever created. Pre-orders for the game are already open. On PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the Standard Edition costs $59.99, while PC, Stadia, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X customers must fork over $69.99.

Beginning on September 30th, the game will be accessible on PC, Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X. For the first time in the series, cross-platform functionality will be enabled, however, it won’t function in cooperative modes for some reason.

A football simulation game is FIFA 23. It will be the first to include both the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cups in the same game, with free add-ons for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 and FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, respectively.

Additionally, FIFA 23 is the first football game to include female club clubs from the Division 1 Arkema and Barclays Women’s Super League. The UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana, Premier League, Bundesliga, and LaLiga Santander are further licenced men’s leagues and competitions.

In addition to adding new gameplay elements, FIFA 23 will also enhance some of the current ones. The majority of the additions won’t be included in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game; rather, they will only be included in the next-generation versions of the game.

All of the exclusive next-gen features, starting with Technical Dribbling, are powered by HyperMotion 2, an enhanced version of the machine learning approach that first debuted with FIFA 22 (including over 6K true-to-life animations).

Based on the Active Touch mechanism, this is a whole new dribbling system. The developers want dribble to seem more organic and responsive just by using the left stick on the controller. In FIFA 23, technical dribbling can be performed by any player, however, the outcomes depend on the dribbling abilities.

Thanks to ML-Jockey, defenders won’t feel left out in FIFA 23. The flexibility to spin at different angles, improved reactivity when jockeying, and tighter control makes this feature a direct counter to technical dribbling. Women’s players will display distinctive and natural jockeying animations that were taken from a genuine women’s match.

AcceleRATE, which divides players into three acceleration archetypes, significantly improves the player mobility mechanism in FIFA 23. Explosive players, typically the shorter and more agile ones, can accelerate faster but will slow down the acceleration rate after the initial burst; lengthy players, typically the taller and stronger ones, will start slowly but eventually catch up and possibly even surpass the other types over longer distances. Controlled players, the vast majority, will accelerate uniformly and in a controlled manner.
