Since its launch at CES 2021, the flagship AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX processor was nowhere to be seen on any gaming laptops for quite a while now, however, its brother Ryzen 9 5980HS is already used on many ASUS gaming laptops.
So, the reliable tipster has now spotted this flagship 8-core monster on Userbenchmark recently and scores look impressive as you have Zen 3 architecture at the heart of the processor.
Also, it has high boost clock speeds of up to 4.8GHz, which can be beneficial in gaming and a move to the rise in 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H processors that are quietly gaining some popularity in the mobile gaming space.
Someone in the comments for this leak also mentioned that this could be an Asus gaming laptop and so, most probably we could see a new variant or a whole new laptop with a new AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX inside it.
