Celeste, one of the highest-rated games of all time, will be returning to the Xbox Game Pass subscription program on August 1. This statement was made alongside confirmation of the remaining new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in July 2023.
On July 18, Microsoft introduced Techtonica, The Cave, and Toem to Xbox Game Pass, and on July 19, it confirmed five further titles that will join the program in July 2023. Maquette will be on July 19, Figment 2: Creed Valley will be on July 20, The Wandering Village will be on July 20, Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem will be on July 25, and Venba will be on July 31. Microsoft also gave fans an unexpected tease of what they may expect from the new Xbox Game Pass games for August 2023 by revealing that Celeste will be available on the cloud, Xbox consoles, and PC on August 1.
Celeste is an award-winning indie platformer noted for its difficult challenge and interesting narrative for those who are unfamiliar with it.
It received enormous accolades upon its debut in 2018, with many citing it as one of the absolute finest games released that year – which is saying a lot given that it shared the year with titles such as God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2. Anyone who has yet to play Celeste should give it a try when it comes to the Xbox Game Pass service on August 1 to see if it lives up to the buzz.
Celeste had already been in Xbox Game Pass, as some may recall. Celeste was deleted from Xbox Game Pass in 2021, which was disappointing for fans of the indie success. It’s making a reappearance to Xbox Game Pass two years later, and fans should anticipate it to remain available for at least a year when it’s added to the list, assuming it functions like previous Game Pass games. This should provide Xbox Game Pass customers with more than enough time to play through the beloved game.
