Many of the football fans were shocked to see Manchester United being defeated by West Ham at the EFL Cup. Though there was a tough fight between the two, still most of the football fans thought that either the red devils would win or the match will be drawn. However, West Ham got an early lead in the match and ultimately they only experienced the last smile by defeated Manchester United by 1-0.

The match kicked off at the iconic stadium of Old Trafford. In the 9th minute, Manuel Lanzini scored the first goal of the match as well for West Ham. With this defeat, Manchester United got knocked out of the Carabao Cup from the third round.
It was a special win for West Ham, as they defeated the English giants on their ground. Though newly Portuguese Legend Cristiano Ronaldo was not in the playing 11, still gaining a victory over Man United is indeed something special for the Premier League club.
