While the 30-year-old Senegal forward Sadio Mane is reportedly desperate to leave his English Premier League club, Liverpool, the German giants Bayern Munich reportedly fell short of the Reds’ transfer valuation for this Senegalese footballer.

    Sadio Mane for Liverpool

Sadio Mane is one of the key players who helped Liverpool to find their glory back in recent times. In his six consecutive seasons for the Reds, the English club reached the UEFA Champions League finals thrice (2017/18, 2018/19 and 2021/22), including winning the trophy in the 2018/19 edition. Also, the club won one Premier League trophy (2019/20), and other prestigious tournaments. Mane’s Liverpool already achieved six trophy successes.

In his 269 appearances for this English club, Mane recorded 120 goals and 48 assists. His present contract with the Reds will end in June 2023. However, Mane simply wants to leave the Premier League club, and Bayern Munich are really desperate to welcome him this summer.

As Bayern are set to release the legendary footballer Robert Lewandowski soon, Sadio Mane can be a great replacement. Despite Mane being a regular winger and Lewandowski being a centre-forward, Mane’s experience can put a great factor for the German club.

While Liverpool have reportedly set a £42.5m valuation for Mane, The Daily Mail’s latest reports suggested that the German Bundesliga giants recently were £8.5m short from the valuation.

The report also claimed that Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann probably spoke to the Senegalese forward in recent times.

According to that report, after the English Premier League club rejected Bayern’s first two offers for Mane, one under £25m and another around £30m, the German club has now set their bar for Mane, but they are still away from the valuation.

Currently, Liverpool are busy signing Darwin Nunez as soon as possible, while Bayern are under pressure to handle the situation of Lewandowski.

But as the situation is moving on Mane’s transfer, we may soon experience another interesting chapter in the early period of this summer transfer window.
