    Barcelona beings their journey without Lionel Messi

    With the departure from Lionel Messi from Blaugrana, Barca started its new era in La Liga. Their first match was against Real Sociedad, where they defeated the club by a score of 4-2. They played sensationally and were dominant over their opposition for most of the time.

    In the first half, they won the battle, where they got a 2-0 lead. They were very strong till the 70th minute, but Real Sociedad scored two goals in the 82nd and 85th minute to make the score standard, to look 4-2.

    Barca without Messi

    This was the first time in a decade that Barcelona took part in La Liga without Lionel Messi being present in the team. And not only he isn’t present in the team, but he is no longer a part of the club. Keeping this in mind, the player went to play, gave their level best, and as a consequence, they emerged victoriously in the match.

    Though there was a clear feeling that Messi isn’t there in the team, the man to whom the Barca fans had a huge trust that he will not let Barca down. However, the current players of the club didn’t allow that feeling to have an impact on their game and have their best. It is certainly an interesting start for Barcelona FC in their new era, and it is to be seen that how they perform in their upcoming games.

    Gerard Pique scored the first goal of the match in the 19th minute. Apart from the, it seemed like the first half will see no goal further. However, Martin Braithwaite scored the second for his club in the additional time of the first half, making it 2-0.

    In the second half in the 59th minute, Braithwaite scored the third goal of the match, and second for Barca, and gave his club a lead of 3-0. Then for some time, the match shows a good fight between the two, and with only 10 minutes left of the game.

    Soon Real Sociedad showed their excellence by scoring back-to-back goals in the 82nd and 85th minute. The former was scored by Julen Lobete Cienfuegos, and Mikel Oyarzabal netted the later. The score was 3-2, and then Sergio Roberto scored one more for Barca making it 4-2, on the additional time.
