Assassin’s Creed Shadows Showcases PC and Next-Gen Features in New Trailer, Including Uncapped FPS & More
Set in Feudal Japan, Assassin’s Creed Shadows follows two unlikely protagonists: Naoe, a skilled Shinobi Assassin, and Yasuke, a powerful samurai. Players will explore an expansive open world that includes castle towns, busy ports, quiet shrines, and battle-scarred fields. Dynamic weather and seasonal changes in the game contribute to immersion, which makes the world feel alive.
Players can adopt different playstyles depending on the character they control. Naoe excels in agility and stealth, using shadows and quick movements to evade enemies. Yasuke, however, is a raw force of strength, making use of a powerful combat style with precision strikes. This dual-character unlock system provides a fresh-play experience while allowing players to embrace both the stealthy and action touches.
Beyond combat, the game features a complex intelligence system where players can design a network of spies to hunt their foes. Completing missions should be done successfully by recruiting skilled allies with unique powers. You can also build your own hideout and customize it as you train your crew, craft new gear, and build a base that represents your growing Shinobi league.
Ubisoft is also planning to release a significant expansion for the game Claws of Awaji later in 2025. This new content sends players to the enigmatic island of Awaji, where they are required to reclaim a stolen treasure while escaping from an ominous new faction, the Sanzoku Ippa.
After new weapons for Naoe, such as the Bō, with new skills and more than 10 extra hours afterward, it’ll deepen the experience all the more. Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes off on March 20, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store), Mac (App Store), and Amazon Luna.
