The current manager of the Premier League club Arsenal, Mikel Arteta said in November 2021, that he would love to see Arsene Wenger back at the club again. He said in this regard that he would like him to be more present at the club and the players would also love him. Besides they will also be inspired to have him around which will be the biggest boost for the club.
The present Arsenal manager also stated that it was so intense for him over 22 years from 1996 to 2018, and fans need to get away a little bit but he thinks that it would be very beneficial for all the parties of the club to have him more present. If it was not for him, Mikel would not be in the position where he is today and he wouldn’t have enjoyed the career he had, Arteta added.
Decision of Arsenal
Reports state the authority had a talk regarding the same, and it was decided that Arsenal has decided not to bring back Arsene Wenger to their club, or the former manager has decided not to come back to Arsenal concerning his current commitments. It is not fully clear which of the reasons are true.
Arsene Wenger for the club
Arsene Wenger spent his iconic career as a manager for 22 years at Arsenal and currently he is the Chief of Global Football Development of FIFA. Wenger isn’t involved in day-to-day activities and he hasn’t been seen taking a decision on board. Besides, he also hasn’t returned to see matches among the audience and he doesn’t even intend to do the same.
It is understandable why Arsene Wenger needs a clean break. Following his two-decade career at Arsenal, he probably needed a break to move to his next job. Also, he might have believed that Arsenal should not have him as their distraction, which will be an obstacle in their next steps.
