The Awakening Collection Event and the most recent Apex Legends update are live, however, Xbox users will have to wait a little longer than usual to enjoy the new update.
Tuesdays are usually when Apex Legends updates, events, and new seasons go live. However, this 13.1 patch won’t be playable on Xbox until 10 AM PT / 3 PM ET due to what the developers are calling a “publishing error.” Players on the PlayStation, PC and Switch will not be impacted by this delay and can receive the update when it becomes available at 8 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
Respawn tweeted that the company is addressing issues with Multiplay, Apex Legends’ server provider, in addition to publishing faults as the game’s current challenges. All players can anticipate an improvement in connection quality once the problems are resolved because they have impacted connections across all platforms.
The current update to the game will launch as scheduled on all other platforms despite the problems with Respawn’s server provider. The aforementioned publishing problem will only affect Xbox users, who will have to endure the ensuing delay.
Xbox users won’t have to wait too long to join a Control match, thankfully, since it appears Respawn is optimistic the delay will last no more than two hours. While waiting for the Awakenings Collection Event to start, players might want to take a closer look at the full patch notes outlining all the changes coming to Apex Legends.
