All you need to know about the new Disney Plus Hotstar program in India

The new plan now starts at 499 rupees instead of 399 rupees. You will get three new annual plans instead of two—499 rupees (mobile), 899 rupees (super) and 1,499 rupees (premium). However, Disney Plus Hotstar VIP subscriptions will be suspended starting September 1. Here is how the new plan will affect the current Disney+ Hotstar subscriber base:
What will happen to current Disney Plus Hotstar VIP members?
If you are a Disney Plus Hotstar VIP member, you will be automatically migrated to the new mobile plan. Through this move, you will be able to access all content on the platform. This includes English content, without language restrictions before your current membership expires.
However, once the membership expires, you must pay 499 rupees per year for the Disney Plus Hotstar Mobile plan. The downside is that you will only be able to use content on mobile devices. You can continue to watch free content on all platforms, including Web and Living Room devices.
What will happen to existing Disney+ Hotstar Premium members?
As there are no changes to higher plans, Premium will continue to receive all content. However, you will get support for 4 simultaneous displays, not just 2.
