    Striker Aaron Amadi leaves SC East Bengal and joins Burton Albion FC. He is the most recent foreign striker to leave a Kolkata-based club in this uncertain time. East Bengal has been facing huge troubles before the ISL. And it seems like the path of troubles coming doesn’t like to end soon.

    Amadi who is one of their key players played for them at the ISL during the 2020-21 campaign. Also, another trouble that is going on for them, is that their fans protesting with their disagreements with the sponsors.

    Experience in Lower Division

    This ex-Oldham athlete has significant experience playing for the lower division and has made ninety-six appearances. He has scored six goals alongside thirteen assists during the tenure. Before stepping to India to play under Robbie Flower, he was engaged in the Australian A-league for Brisbane roar.

    Amadi joined hands with ISL back in October 2020. Therefore, he has not had much time to adjust to the new ambience. In the 13 appearances, he played for 419 minutes in the debut campaign, coming up with two goals.

    At present, nothing seems evident regarding the involvement in the upcoming ISL season. It is chiefly due to the difference of opinion with Shree Cement, the sponsors.

    Players including Anthony Pilkington, Enobakhare, Matti Steinmann, and Jacques Maghoma, have left East Bengal earlier. Even, domestic players including Debjit Majumder, and Narayan Das, have left the club as well.

    Ambitions of Burton Albion

    Burton Albion, the EFL league one club, will be looking forward to setting their focus for promotion which would be for the EFL championship, next season. With the signing of Aaron Amadi Holloway, he becomes the 11th signing of the club this summer. He is expected to perform well, having plenty of experience, alongside Shrewsbury Town, Fleetwood Town, and Oldham Athletic.
